Reflecting on Memory Threads 2024

We are delighted to look back on the incredible journey of Memory Threads 2024, brought to life by Nurture Community CIC in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Society. Together, we embarked on a transformative exploration of memories through art.

Participants in our workshops had the opportunity to craft their own Memory Postcards, sharing their unique stories and experiences. Supported by our DBS-certified hosts and with materials generously provided by David Wilson & Barratt Homes, the sessions were open to all ages and abilities, ensuring a creative, inclusive environment for everyone.

The beautiful artwork created during this initiative played a vital role in sparking meaningful conversations and building a more supportive community for those living with dementia. These creations were showcased in the Memory Threads book at the Lichfield Garrick Theatre and even inspired a powerful performance by the Lichfield Garrick young performers, who toured local organizations throughout the summer of 2024.
