Everything that we do at little Green Cafes is focused on making families with young children feel welcome and looked after. We are a truly child friendly café with soft play equipment and staff-led activities for the little ones.

Throw in excellent food and drink for all which is served in a relaxed and comfortable coffee shop and you’ll see why families love to eat, drink and play at a little Green café.

Our Story

Ben and Debs Birchall set up their first independent Play café, the little Green Frog, in 2016 to provide families in and around Lichfield with a great place to eat, drink and play.

Having lived in Lichfield since 2004 and having been parents since Finbar arrived in 2007 we had always hoped to find a café where our children could happily play and we could relax and enjoy great food and drink in a comfortable setting.

4 boys later, and with another child on the way, we hadn’t found what we were looking for so we decided it would be a great time to set it up ourselves – we do like a challenge!

The café was an immediate success and within 12 months we were approached to set up a new café in Sutton Coldfield Library. In April 2018 the little Green Bookworm launched!

We have been lucky to find a fabulous team who share our dream and dedication to provide a great experience for all of our customers, both large and small.
