Pam – Sustainability & Community Connector
Since moving to Lichfield from London, Pam has been deeply committed to community life. Her journey began with the local National Childbirth Trust, where she supported families and campaigned to protect the midwife-led maternity hospital when her children were young. Nearly 30 years on, her passion for people and place has evolved into a strong focus on environmental action and sustainable living.
A natural connector, Pam thrives on bringing people and ideas together to create meaningful change. She coordinates two monthly Repair Cafés, helping to reduce waste by giving items a second life, and supports a range of local initiatives including Lichfield Arts and the much-loved Fuse Festival.
Pam actively maintains three wilded green spaces in the heart of Lichfield and works closely with both Lichfield District and City Councils through her role with Transition Lichfield, advocating for positive environmental policy and behaviour change. As a STEM Climate Ambassador, she also collaborates with local schools to develop and support Climate Action Plans.
A long-standing supporter of Nurture, Pam now plays a key role within the team, helping to embed sustainability into everything we do — ensuring our work continues to support both people and the planet.
